Prince Golf Club and Spa
| Princeville is built around golf. In collaboration with nature, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed 45 of the most beautiful tropical holes of golf in the world: The Makai Course and the Prince Course. Architect Jones said, 'In all the world, I never expect to find a more spectacularly beautiful place to build a golf course than Princeville, overlooking Hanalei Bay!'

Prince Course
The Prince Course is the true golfers dream. Golf Digest ranks The Prince Course #1 in Hawaii and one of only eight 5 star public courses in America. From the back tees, it is Hawaii's most challenging golf course with a USGA course rating of 75.3 and a 145 slope. Spread out over 390 acres directly on the Pacific Ocean, this world famous course winds up and down hills, through jungles, along clear streams, and over deep ravines. |

Makai Course
The 27 holes of the Makai Course offers a diverse challenge but in a more tame context than Prince. The ocean front holes look out on Hawaii's most spectacular scenery: mountains, lakes, Bali Hai, Pacific surf crashing on lava shorelines, and Mt. Wai'ale'ale's silver waterfalls. The Makai offers three nine hole courses: Ocean, Lakes, and Woods. Combine two for 18 holes or play all three. The course rating from the back tees on the Ocean/Lakes combination is 73.0 with a 134 slope. |
Kama'aina green fees
More good news, perhaps the greatest golf bargain in the world: Princeville Homeowners pay 'Kama'aina' green fees of only $55 for Makai and as low as $70 for Prince, including carts and range. There are no club fees, dues, or membership. Kauai offers the best in challenging golf in beautiful settings with views of mountains and ocean.
ALL courses on Kauai are open to the public, and all courses have special discounts for residents of
Kauai who show a Hawaii drivers license. Princeville has even lower rates if you are a resident of
Princeville and have the Princeville Golf Club ID card (costs $35 a year, and they carry your GHIN handicap records).
Amazingly, you can get a tee time easy, often the same day.
